Silverstone, UK – Tuesday 22nd May 2018: The 2018 Lamborghini Super Trofeo European championship moved to Silverstone last weekend for rounds three and four of the series. German team Leipert Motorsport were hoping they could come away from the weekend with a series of strong results to boost their championship challenge.
Buriram, Thailand – Monday 14th May 2018: Leipert Motorsport travelled to Buriram in Thailand hoping to continue their strong pace, but this time translate that into strong race finishes to support their championship title aspirations. In fact the weekend exceeded their expectations.
Brands Hatch, Kent, UK – Monday 7th May 2018: Following the mixed performance at the opening round of the 2018 European GT4 Series at Zolder with new drivers Marcus Paverud and Ivan Pareras onboard the team’s brand new Mercedes-AMG GT4, Leipert Motorsport were hoping Brands Hatch would be the venue to kick start their 2018 campaign with at least one visit to the podium.
Unfortunately the weekend got off to a difficult start for the MOTUL sponsored German team when an incident in Free Practice 1 side-lined the crew for the reminder of the session. Following a superb repair job from the team, the duo were able to return to the track for Free Practice 2, using the session to familiarise themselves to the unique characteristics of the British circuit which they had both never visited previously.
Monza, Italy – Tuesday 24th April 2018: In quick succession over the last number of weeks, Leipert Motorsport have launched a number of their Lamborghini racing programmes, with last weekend seeing the MOTUL sponsored German team taking part in the opening rounds of the 2018 Lamborghini Super Trofeo European Championship.
Fielding a trio of brand new for 2018 specification Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo, their driving line ups would feature John-Louis Jasper teaming up with Marko Helistekangas aboard the #2 Huracán. Joining them would be Niels Lagrange and Frederik Schandorff aboard the CHRISAL #26 example while lone entry Jürgen Krebs would take control of the #4 Lamborghini.
