Leipert Motorsport successfully managed the three-hour race of the Belcar Endurance Championship. On the Belgian circuit in Zolder the WCB Racing Team by Leipert Motorsport achieved with the driver duo Hoogaars / de Breucker again the podium of the class 3.

Wegberg, Germany - Monday, 03.06.2019

Double layer for Leipert Motorsport: While one team was in action at the GT4 European Series in Paul Ricard, the other team took care of the second round of the Belcar Endurance Championship.  The "Superprix" was held in Zolder, Belgium, and was the second successful weekend for Leipert Motorsport.

Second place in qualifying

With the Leipert Motorsport Lamborghini Yannick Hoogaars and Jimmy de Breucker went on the 3,997 kilometres long race course.  The Belgian circuit seemed to fit the two drivers, as the lap times in qualifying improved quickly. In the end they reached starting position 2 of class 3. This meant a ninth place overall on the grid for the three-hour race. A good base for a long race.

Faultless race - tactics prevent class victory

Sunday afternoon the second Belcar Endurance race of the 2019 motorsport season started. Start driver Yannick Hoogaars was able to hold his own directly against his rivals and pushed forward to sixth position. Even from the first safety car phase, which was already announced after the fourth lap, he didn't let up and continued his fighting spirit until he was in fourth place. The Lamborghini ran like clockwork - further proof of how professionally and with many years of experience the team from Wegberg prepared the racing car for the endurance race.

After the 32nd lap the team decided to make a driver change and refuel. But the tactics were destroyed: As soon as they were out of the pit lane again, the next safety car phase came, which most of the other teams used to change and refuel and thus saved important time. Time which Leipert Motorsport was missing at the end.

As the chequered flag was waved, Jimmy de Breucker crossed the finish line as sixth overall - the third place in the class 3 and thus another cup in the showcase!

A weekend with two parallel motorsport events comes to an end for the motorsport team supported by MOTUL. Next weekend the team will travel to Austria to compete with an AMG GT4 at the ADAC GT4 Germany at the Red Bull Ring (07.-09.06.2019).
