Last weekend Leipert Motorsport mastered a huge programme. In the GT4 European Series the team achieved a class victory and scored top points for the defence of the two classes Silver and PRO/AM. In the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe there was again a podium and important points for the drivers, while in the Belcar Series race at Spa-Francorchamps they finished fourth in their class.

Wegberg, Germany - Monday, 15.07.2019

Last weekend, the team of Leipert Motorsport successfully mastered a programme in three racing series. With two Lamborghini they competed in the third round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo on the Circuit Zandvoort (Netherlands), where also races nine / ten of the GT4 European Series were held, where Leipert Motorsport started with two Mercedes AMG GT4.  Also, in the Belgian Spa-Francorchamps the team started with a Lamborghini on the Ardennes roller coaster in the Belcar Series.

Leipert Motorsport continues to lead the standings in the GT4 European Series

The Baby Mamba #2 with Luci Trefz / Marcus Paverud started the first race as best placed Mercedes AMG. During the first half they lost a bit of ground, but fought their way back and were rewarded: Podium in the PRO/AM class!  Also, in the chaos race 2, which was stopped immediately after the start due to a violent starting collision in the midfield, the two could not be put off: They crossed the finish-line in the hard-fought field as eighth overall and winners in the class. Thus, the leadership in the PRO/AM class could be further extended. In the Mercedes AMG #4 Jan Kisiel and Max Koebolt crossed the finish line in fifth place after a strong first race. Although the two were clearly faster, there was no getting through to the podium on the difficult track at Zandvoort. In the second race they started from the front row and finished fourth after a heavy race. As a result, the second Leipert Motorsport duo also remains the leader in the silver class.

Podium and points also in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo

#33 Mikko Eskelinen / Jake Rattenbury were back on track for success: In the first race they reached eleventh place overall and were third in the AM ranking, again on the podium!  One day later heavy rain showers frustrated the success plans - in the end they reached sixth place with several points.
Niels Lagrange and Anthony Lambert in the #30 crossed the finish line after exciting race action in the sister Lamborghini in races 1 and 2, each in 5th place of the Pro classification and collected further important championship points.

4th place in the Belcar Series after an exciting three-hour race

The Belcar Series started off outstanding: Pole position in class and sixth place overall for WCB Racing Team by Leipert Motorsport. At the start, the Lamborghini #999 was able to push immediately to P1 overall. Yannick Hoogaars and Jimmy de Breucker dominated the race from now on - until a creeping puncture became noticeable and the pit on the 7,004 km long track could only be reached at walking pace. After an exciting race to catch up, eleventh overall and fourth in the class are only damage limitation for a well started race weekend.

The Leipert Motorsport team, supported by MOTUL, successfully mastered three strong racing series in one weekend. After such a lot of action all participants will have a little break: At the end of July the Lamborghini Super Trofeo will take place in Spa-Francorchamps (25.-27.07.2019).
