Another victory in the house of Leipert Motorsport! At the 24-hour race of the Belcar Series, which was held on the Circuit Zolder, the team from Wegberg impressed together with the driver quintet Hoogaars, de Breucker, Lagrange, Kroes and Kox. After thrilling 24 hours the team celebrated the well-deserved class victory of the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO in class 3 and 4th overall place.

Wegberg, Germany - Monday, 12.08.2019

The Belcar Series held its fourth race of the season at the Circuit Zolder. The 4.011-kilometre race course, one of the home tracks of the Wegberger team, was opened in the 1960s and convinces with its Belgian charm. In addition to the regular drivers Yannick Hoogaars (22, Belgium) and Jimmy de Breucker (Belgium), the WCB Racing Team by Leipert Motorsport strengthened itself for the event with Niels Lagrange (28, Belgium), Danny Kroes (19, Netherlands) and Stephane Kox (25, Netherlands). Together the quintet entered the long-distance race in the Leipert Motorsport Lamborghini with the starting number #999 - with full success!

Pole Position in Class 3 - Starting Position 5 overall

The weekend already started successfully for the experienced team. During the qualifying session the drivers performed brilliantly and were flying over the ten corners of the track. In the end, the team not only finished fifth overall on the grid, but also took Pole position in the racing class. An excellent basis for a long-distance race!

The Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo like a clockwork - Superb class victory on Sunday

The start of the 24-hour race on the next day proved to be more difficult than expected. Starting driver Jimmy de Breucker was turned around with his Lamborghini shortly after race start. That has cost important places! On P22 the Belgian joined again the race. After about one-hour racing distance he was in 15th place. The pressure to catch up to the others was strong.  After a spin into the gravel and a follow-up check in the pits, he returned to the race in 25th position. From that point on, they all held together as one. No one wanted to make a mistake. The Lamborghini ran like clockwork thanks to the well-coordinated team and the drivers provided a fair race with fast lap times. The view on Sunday morning on the timesheet showed: fifth place overall and class leader.

After hard and long 24 hours the Lamborghini crossed the finish line as class winner! Cheering, the boys and girls around the WCB Racing Team by Leipert Motorsport celebrated this success. Winning a race is one thing, but winning a 24-hour race is something very special!

Five drivers who brought the Lamborghini safely to the finish - that was mega-class.

After the 24h race there will be no break for the MOTUL supported team Leipert Motorsport: The ADAC GT4 Germany will compete next weekend at the Nürburgring (16.-18.08.2019).
