At the penultimate race weekend of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe Season 2019 Leipert Motorsport used a third Super Trofeo, piloted by Jordan Witt and Oscar Lee, in addition to the two well-known Lamborghini crews Eskelinen / Rattenbury and Lagrange / Lambert. After two exciting races, the team from Wegberg finished several times on the podium.

Wegberg, Germany - Monday, 02.09.2019

After two thrilling races at the Nürburgring in the Eifel region of Germany, the team added three podium wins and Top 5 results to its success account - a summary of the two races:

Twice points, twice podium - race one on Saturday

Regular driver Niels Lagrange, Belgium (Lamborghini #30, PRO), had a good start at Saturday's race and handed over the wheel during driver change to Anthony Lambert, Belgium. He finished fifth overall and scored the first points.

The race of the two AM drivers in the Lamborghini #33 was also exciting: Jake Rattenbury (Wales) lost a position at the start, which his team mate Mikko Eskelinen (Finland) however regained after the pit stop. Mikko had some exciting fights, but dropped back two places. In the end he crossed the finish line on P3 of the class. So, the podium success was guaranteed for the duo! Also on the podium: The third Leipert Motorsport duo Jordan Witt, GB / Oscar Lee, Hong Kong (Lamborghini #51, PRO-AM). Witt showed no mercy during the start and fought eagerly with his opponents. At the driver change he was in seventh place overall. Oscar Lee took over and he also showed a strong performance. On the last lap the Lamborghini suddenly had a flat tyre. The driver duo was still classified on P16 and reached P3 and podium in the PRO/AM classification!

P2 in PRO/AM and sovereign race of the PRO drivers

Also in the Sunday race Lagrange and Lambert provided a skilful race. After the start Anthony Lambert was on 6th place overall. After the driver change Lagrange pushed hard and saw the chequered flag on P5 overall. The Belgian driver duo thus collected further important championship points.

Sudden end for Mikko Eskelinen and Jake Rattenbury: Due to falling fuel pressure and a contact on the track with a competitor, Eskelinen dropped back to 22nd place. Also the attempt of the team to solve the problem during the driver change failed, which is why they decided to end the second race early and the duo remained without points.

In Lamborghini #51 Oscar Lee and Jordan Witt showed a great performance: From 17th place to tenth place! That was awesome. They were rewarded with P2 and podium of the PRO/AM.
