At the Lamborghini World Final last week Leipert Motorsport driver Brendon Leitch was runner-up in the PRO-AM Asia, while Jake Rattenbury won the bronze AM-Class trophy in the World Final. With five podium finishes in four days of racing Leipert Motorsport ends a successful racing season of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia and Europe in Jerez.

Wegberg, Germany - Tuesday, October 29, 2019

Last week the two season finals of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe and Asia took place for Leipert Motorsport at the Circuito de Jerez in Spain. The team also took part in the World Finals, where the best drivers of all Super Trofeo series compete against each other.  A weekend with ascent and descent combined:

Brendon Leitch is PRO/AM Vice Champion in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia

Despite the retirement in the second race the Leipert Motorsport duo Leitch/Vignali could collect valuable championship points with the fourth place of the PRO/AM classification in race one, which helped Brendon Leitch to the runner-up championship of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia. In the sister Lamborghini Wells/Kadoorie took third place twice in the last two races and thus celebrated two podium finishes.

With three Lamborghini at the finale of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe Series

Large-scale deployment at the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe finale: The team from Leipert Motorsport was in charge of three cars in the final races, in which the duo Eskelinen / Rattenbury (AM) in particular shone with a podium victory and Lee/Leib (AM) in the top 5 of the class also contributed a remarkable result to the finale. The duo Lagrange / Lambert (PRO) finished the European season with P11 and P14.

Jake Rattenbury third best Lamborghini Super Trofeo driver!

The accident of Rattenbury and Eskelinen in the first European race a corner before the finish line was overshadowing the weekend. Mikko Eskelinen, who fortunately suffered only slight bruises, gave his team mate Jake Rattenbury the wheel of the Lamborghini for the big World Final, where the best drivers of the Lamborghini series meet. With a great finish, the 26-year-old Welshman managed to cross the finish line as third best pilot - but with the replacement car, as the #33 was destroyed in the accident. The results of the other driver duos: #30 Lagrange/Lambert (PRO) P15 & P9 overall, #207 Leitch/Vignali (ProAm) twice P17 overall, P6 in class, #277 Wells/Kadoorie (ProAm) had two retirements in the WF races despite good starting positions.

We'll say thank you!

With the exciting last weekend the Lamborghini Super Trofeo season has come to an end. Finally, we would like to thank everyone involved:

A huge compliment and thank you to our hard-working mechanics, who always gave their best, the whole team for their tireless efforts and of course to our drivers, who made our successes possible. You are the best!

The next race of Leipert Motorsport supported by MOTUL will be the 24h Cota (Texas) 15-17 November 2019 with a Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo in the Creventic Series.
